UMD Stores will not make exchanges, refunds, or any compensation for books mistakenly purchased from other sources utilizing the information below.

Fall semester course materials are available in-store NOW. Bring your course list to our Lower Level store is Monday thru Friday for assistance.

How to Find Your Course Materials

1. Go to http://www.myu.umn.edu and log in to your MyU account
2. Click on the "Academics" tab
3. Click "View Calendar" and choose a day when classes are in session
4. Click on the "Textbooks-UMD" tab to have your materials automatically populate in our website at umdstores.com. Use this list to order online or shop in-store.

Important Information for ALL Course Material Orders

Online Reservation Orders

• Online reservation is available before the start of the semester, until the cutoff date. You must be registered for classes. Save the shipping fees and reserve your materials for the semester, and pick up during Move-In Weekend (Fall) or the day before classes start (Spring)
• You can place an online reservation order with any major credit card, or with your U Card (charge to your student account.) We fill orders in the order that they are received, and charge out the week before the semester starts.
• Prefer to shop in-store? Course materials, art kits and laptops can be purchased in-store leading up to, and after, fall semester begins. Fall materials are on the shelf in early August; Spring materials in early December..

UPS-Ground Shipped Orders

• All course materials orders have a flat shipping rate of $9.99.
• Currently enrolled students can charge orders to their tuition account using their U Card. Purchases MUST be picked up IN-STORE only. No U Card orders will be shipped.
• Orders cannot be shipped to PO boxes or campus residence hall (dorm/apt) addresses.

Important Information about Fall 2023 Orders

Fall Reservation/Order Pick-Up:

• Orders will be available for pick-up in UMD Stores Express (109 Kirby Plaza, across from the Northern Shores Coffee Shop) on the following dates: (Times subject to change)
  
  • Wednesday, Aug. 23: 10am - 5pm
  • Thursday, Aug. 24: 10am - 5pm
  • Friday, Aug. 25: 10am - 5pm
  • Saturday & Sunday, Aug. 26 - 27: 10am - 5pm
  • PICKUP and/or RETURNS: Monday 8/28 thru Thursday 8/31: 10am - 5pm
  
  
• Photo ID is REQUIRED for pick-up. If you charged your order to your U Card, you will need your U Card AND a second form of photo ID.

Fall UPS Shipped orders:

• In-stock materials will ship within 2-3 days.
• All course materials orders have a flat shipping rate of $9.99.
• Shipped orders may not arrive before classes start.
• Orders cannot be shipped to PO boxes or dorm addresses.
• Orders charged to U Cards cannot be shipped.

Fall 2023 Textbook Return Policy & Dates

• Fall semester books (purchased or rented) may be returned with receipt + ID by Thursday, Aug 31, 2023.
• New Books MUST BE UNMARKED. Marked books and opened CDs, etc., may be refunded as used. Access codes opened, activated or scratched off are non-returnable.
• NEW RENTAL BOOKS returned through Friday, Sept. 29, 2023 will be refunded at a reduced rate if marked or highlighted.
• Textbook returns (purchased or rented) from Friday, Sept. 1, through Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, must have proof of cancellation, receipt + ID.
• The LAST day to purchase Fall Semester books is Friday, Sept. 30, 2023. The last day to RENT Fall Semester books is Friday, Nov. 3, 2023.
• All Fall Semester RENTAL books are DUE BACK by Friday, Dec. 15, 2023.

Fall 2023 Art Kit Return Policy & Dates

• Art kits may be returned with receipt + ID by Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023. All items in the kit must be included and must be UNUSED and in new condition.
• Art kits returned on or after Friday, Sept. 8, 2023 through Friday, Sept. 29, 2023 must have proof of cancellation, receipt + ID
